The Asociación Vallisoletana de Amigos del Ferrocarril (ASVAFER) is a non-profit association founded in 1982, whose main aim is to promote the railway in all its ways, as well as to understand its history and safeguard its memory. Our social premises are a disused station rented to Adif, the Esperanza Station, where we have various models of various scales (H0, H0e, N and G). We also have a library, with a lot of books and magazines about railway subjects, and a modest museum of railway objects, since another of our activities is to rescue and restore historical railway material of all kinds, both fixed, for example, tools, signals, etc., and mobile, locomotives, cars and wagons.
ASVAFER is federated in the Spanish Federation of Associations of Railway Friends with the number 29.
To join (ASVAFER) you only have to bring two passport photos to our headquarters, pay the registration fee (€30) and the annual fee, which is €50, which can be prorated quarterly (this means that the part of the fee corresponding to the quarters that have elapsed from the beginning of the year to the date of registration is not paid).
If you are interested in becoming a member, you can come and visit us at the Esperanza Station in Valladolid on Thursdays from 7 to 9 pm and on Sundays from 12 to 2 pm, which are the days when members meet at our headquarters.
If you don't know where it is, below you have a map to help you locate us.
